Everyone, at some point in their life, will likely experience heartbreak, loss, a ‘dark night of the soul’, or some passage that could be described as darkness. This is not just a good dose of grief, but a time when we cannot see; we feel utterly disconnected from our knowing, truth, hope, passion, and the order of life itself. I entered into one of those times 4 years ago when my husband committed suicide and my life as I knew it was brutally shattered.
I was at the culmination of 15+ years of research in my university programs, in which we discovered a new way of awakening women’s consciousness and capacity to lead - both in their personal lives, and in the external world of work, community and more. I had been personally practicing and living the processes I taught for many years; installing this upgraded ‘inner operating system’. We called it The Way of the Mysterial Woman, and were finishing a groundbreaking book that would make this new way available to women all over the world.
I was about to take flight, and instead was plunged into the deepest, darkest episode of my life, literally overnight. Within 6 months I had lost everything that I thought mattered.
I was sure of one thing: I would walk The Way of the Mysterial Woman to determine if this way of being and doing could hold up in the most difficult circumstances imaginable... and it did!
I learned to see in the dark.
I am now more committed than ever to sharing this pathway for awakening consciousness and leadership capacity in women.
It has taken me 4 years to be ready to talk candidly about my experience and learning of not just surviving this brutal passage, but actually being transformed by it. Come gather around the fire as I share the 3 Key Mysterial Principles that got me from there to here.
