In all of my recent speaking opportunities I have been asking the question, “How many of you here today are in the midst of a transition of some kind – old structures or ways of being are breaking down but the new forms are not yet visible…perhaps it is a relationship or a job, or a living situation that is ending or maybe it hasn’t ended in form yet but you can feel the lack of aliveness and joy in it…and you also sense something else is coming toward you…sound familiar?”

95% of the hands always go up.

Something is happening…some…thing is happening…

What if these changes are not signs of failure or regression or hopelessness…something we have to resist or fight against? What if we could ‘Welcome Discomfort’ as the sign that we are pointed in the right direction – toward growth and emergence. When we reach the limits of an old way of being or a worldview that is no longer a match of the demands and stage of our lives it generally starts to get pretty uncomfortable. Rightly so. This is the signal that growth is required. We are being prompted to evolve a more complex ‘inner operating system’ to meet the evolving conditions of our lives.

Discovering that the turmoil – the suffering and the longing – in our lives could be an invitation to grow instead of a sign of failure is often a deep relief for women.

Working with the director Martha Enson and filmmaker Alex Carillo we created a short video which makes the case for why it is so vital right now that women turn toward their suffering and longing in a community of support to awaken the Mysterial potential within.

Exquisite Suzanne!! Both with and without comma! Hearing your voice to the Mysterial story solidifies the hope that words and experience (book and short film) are intimately on the same team! The timing is perfect for this living articulation! Brilliant!
    Much love—Jody I

  • Suzanne Anderson says:

Hello Jody…how wonderful to hear from you and to sense your enthusiasm for The Way of the Mysterial Woman. I would agree that the timing is perfect for women to really wake up, grow up and show up in the world with profoundly upgraded wisdom, love and power. The hypermasculine (in men and in women) is way overdue for some rebalancing that is for sure. Sending you all my love…

This pull to go "down and in" had been calling me for a long time so it was very affirming and alluring to read those same words in the first pages of The Way of The Mysterial Woman. I’ve just finished reading the book in its entirety and I’m am preparing to go back and lead myself through the Mysterial Sequence. I’m curious. Will you be leading any group programs in the near future (small groups preferably)?

    • Suzanne Anderson says:

Hello Gina…I am really delighted to hear your resonance with the idea of going ‘down and in’. This is such a counter intuitive move these days in a culture that often encourages women to go ‘up and out’ and reach for the sun. In my experience this just leads to more of the same – the old hypermasculine ‘inner operating system’ pushing women to ‘have it all’! But what is the ‘all’…and what is the cost? Yes I am starting my first Global online cohort in October. I see you just signed up on the mailing list – I just sent out an update and will be resending it on Monday so you can stay tuned. Thank you for reading the book…for reaching out…and for the courage to do the deep work in yourself that liberates your innate Mysterial genius.

A beautiful film Suzanne, a tribute to your life and teachings over the years and, foremost, your genuineness.
More than that, it’s lovely to look at too.
    Lots of love Rupert

Thanks Rupert for your words of encouragement. I appreciate them coming from a man with such ‘heart and substance’ like you.Sometimes I feel like a salmon swimming upstream – absolutely compelled to return HOME and yet pushing against the old patriarchal structures that have been ascendant for over 5000 years. The field of consciousness itself is moving and the awakening of the Deep Feminine in women and in men is inexorable.  It is pressing up against the old structures inside and out and certainly not always comfortable. It is wonderful to feel your support in these increasingly intense days on the planet.

  • Peri Chickering says:

Such deep wisdom running in you and in the world ~ inviting – sometimes gently, sometimes harshly – for us all to grow up, shed old skins, and support one another to ‘come alive’. You know that of which you write and speak – so thankful for the beauty, clarity and passion of your way of Being in this world.

    Love you muchly,

    Peri

    • Suzanne Anderson says:

Thank you Peri…I agree 100% that this is the evolutionary impulse for all of us and the call to awaken comes in many forms…this is the Great Mystery at work. I am so grateful to have dear friends with whom I can walk this path – unfolding the emergent together,

Love you muchly too! xxo Suzanne
